He was trained by Larry and Caralee (Scissor Mall) on proper sharpening methods and his continued practicing those techniques while he has been off on a minor hiatus in several local hospitals. He carries a bag of over 50 shears with him to every salon he visits and allows the stylists to use any they might wish to try out.
