Shane Herman, Ultimate Edge
Shane is the owner of Ultimate Edge Sharpening Service. Shane specializes in the art of sharpening and reconditioning high quality shears and thinners as well as clipper blades and knives. Shane started sharpening in 2008 after he attended the Hamaguri Factory where he received his training from Grand Master Sharpener, Larry Brooks.
In 2015, Shane tested and completed the National Beauty Tool Sharpeners Guild “NBTSG” as a Certified Sharpener-Shears.
In 2015, Shane became a Scissormall Distributor, where he services and sells quality cosmetology shears which include Niigata, Shisato and Mirage Shears.
Shane maintains a successful sharpening route throughout North Dakota along with parts of Montana, Minnesota and South Dakota.
Shane believes strongly in educating Future Salon Professionals. He provides a “Shearolgy” class at all the hair schools throughout North Dakota, where he teaches students on all aspects of Japanese and German Manufactured Shears.
